Rhea Settles, Ed.D.Dr. Settles has over 20 years experience as a professional educator. She spent 21 years in the K-12 level specifically in early childhood, K-12, and post-secondardy education both as a teacher and administrator. This serves as her 10th year at the post-secondary level where she strives to assist other educators with perfecting their craft by bringing opportunity, access, and justice to the education workplace and the education learning community. Some of Dr. Settles' research interests are: school organizational justice, the education workplace, workplace mistreatment (workplace incivility, workplace bullying, and workplace mobbing), curriculum and instruction, and education work environments with a culture of dignity and civility. Dr. Settles has successfully taught courses in literature review construction, education policy, teacher leadership, education psychology, and business law. Some guiding principles of her education philosophy are Knowledge, Opportunity, and Access are the Property of All People (Settles, 2003), and dignity and civility must be the central influence on education and workplace decisions, operations, and communications. |
