Guy A. Bryant, J.D.

Mr. Bryant is a shareholder in the law firm of Bryant & Brown located in Oakland, California. Mr. Bryant’s principal areas of specialty are Education Law and Labor Law. He received his Juris Doctor degree from Boston University School of Law in 1988, and his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Connecticut in 1985. He was admitted to the California Bar in 1990. He is currently a member of the Bar Association of San Francisco, Alameda County Bar Association, Los Angeles Bar Association, the Charles Houston Bar Association, Association of California School Administrators (ACSA), the Oakland Chamber of Commerce, Alameda County Workforce Investment Board, and the Oakland African-American Chamber of Commerce. In 2003, Mr. Bryant was the first attorney to complete and graduate from the Association of California School Administrators’ “Superintendent Academy.”

Prior to specializing in Education and Labor law, Mr. Bryant’s practice included workers’ compensation, civil insurance and business litigation. In 1993, Mr. Bryant joined the San Francisco law firm of Miller Brown & Dannis and began his current practice emphasizing employment, labor, and general civil litigation on behalf of K-12 school districts, Community College Districts, and the University of California. In 1997, Mr. Bryant became a partner in the law firm of Breon & Shaeffer with offices in San Francisco and Irvine where he continued his emphasis of representing and providing service to public school agencies. In 2004, Mr. Bryant joined the Law Office of Meredith E. Brown located in Oakland and the firm was renamed Bryant & Brown.
